I have been drawing as long as I can remember. The first time I remember getting feedback on my artwork was when I in first grade and I started drawing birds on the top of a spelling paper. Rather, I actually drew a flock of geese in the sky. I did it rather absentmindedly without realizing it and handed the paper in at the end of the assignment. I am sure my spelling was fine, but the teacher made such a fuss over my artwork that she probably never noticed. She even called another teacher in from across the hall to view my drawing. From that day on, I never stopped drawing although it would be 8 years before another teacher would make a fuss. Fortunately, that was enough to get me started.
I started my college career in the legal field, but it wasn't long before I returned to my first love... art.
I finished my Bachelor's degree with a BA in Fine Art at SUNY Albany, and over the years have painted murals in people's homes and businesses in New York, New Orleans, and Atlanta.
These days, my artistic pursuits are mostly geared toward up cycling old clothing for costumes, and old furnishings for resale.
